I've been meaning to post a photo like this for a while

That's the Bay Bridge, not the Golden Gate Bridge. Thus, no golden-ness.

This is the view from my office. If I roll my chair away from my desk, I can watch the sun & fog playing on the water in front of Treasure Yerba Buena Island (thanks for the correction, [profile] dougygyro).

Chalk it up as one of the many things I like about my job.

Sorry to be "that guy" here, but the big island in the focus of your shot is actually Yerba Buena island.

Treasure Island is the flat part with the white building off to the left of your shot which quickly exits your frame. The entire island was created for the 1916 World's Fair, and was in operation as a Naval base between WWI and the late 1980s.

Thank you for tuning in. This has been your Completely Random & Fully Unnecesary History Moment.

And if you squint down by the shore, you can just see Des engaging in his late morning skinny dip.

No, seriously.

veeeeeeeeeery nice view. That was one of the things that always amazed me when I lived there. Even the most mundane errand like driving to the bank offered up the most beautiful sunset on the water. Thanks for sparking my memory, Ang.
