Last night was opening night for the play la chica has been working on for the last few weeks, "The Long Christmas Ride Home". The play features some beautiful puppets, & about six weeks ago, la chica did a media event with the puppets & the director of the play. And the cover of this week's Bay Area Reporter, the local queer newspaper, featured this story: Puppet master brings his gay soul.

Once you've stopped giggling over the ridiculous story title, check out the first photo, which shows three puppeteers. The redhead in the center of the photo? That's my girl! She brings her gay soul, too.

The play was really, really cool. The story was well-told, & the "special effects" (puppets, shadow puppetry, flying kimonos, & dance) were awesome to watch & added a lot to the production.
