#Whole30 #WholeLent Day 5.

Sleep: pretty good, about eight hours with one major interruption & a couple of minor ones.

Breakfast: SHAKSHUKA! I have no idea where I heard of this dish but I've wanted to make it for a while. It came out looking JUST LIKE the food blog photos & it tasted delicious. I served it over roasted sweet potatoes (regular potatoes would've been better, perhaps mixed with steamed spinach - the sweet potatoes made an already tomato-sweetened dish too sweet) with blended coffee (collagen powder, coconut oil, ghee).

Exercise: HPG & I took both dogs for a walk in Bear Creek Park.

I went shopping at Costco & ate one EPIC lamb bar & one apple pie Larabar. Then I came home & made my first Butternut Squash/Sausage/Sage breakfast casserole which I will eat later this week. I also whipped up a batch of Spicy Tuna Cakes - dinner tomorrow, snacks later.

Lunch/Dinner: I ate a very late lunch consisting of more spaghetti sauce over mixed veggie zoodles & the leftover fruit salad from last night.

Tonight we're going to the Alamo Drafthouse to see Logan. I think I will eat nothing there.

Post-film edit: Logan. Wow.

Late night snack: spicy tuna cake. Ahhh, delicious.

Logan was a great film. Heavy. Also, Patrick Stewart says "fuck" a lot and it's funny for some reason.

Do you know I had never stopped to consider how dangerous Professor X would be when he got really elderly & started having dementia? I really liked that part of the story, & I also liked Patrick Stewart's portrayal of a querelous old man.

Yes, cranky grumpy old Patrick Stewart was awesome. And I liked how they never fully explained what happened in Westchester, but it's implied that maybe that was his first seizure and it killed a lot of people because no one was ready for it.
