Best present?

I don't have a paid account right now so I can't actually make a poll, so post yer vote in the comments. Which was my best Christmas present?

+ set of 20 Henckel knives
+ bottle of Magnifique perfume
+ Amazon Kindle
+ waffle iron that makes waffles in the shape of the state of Texas

I made out like a freakin' BANDIT this year!

Knives!!

I got one REALLY nice knife from my parents (an 8" Henckel Professional) & then a bunch of pretty good knives from [personal profile] hotpantsgalore (Henckel Internationals). Both are a huge step up from the knives I have now, which have handles that are supposed to fit well in your hand. I bet they're great for righties, but they SUCK for lefties.

I just keep thinking that those would be HUGE waffles.

Many of the hotels in Texas have these Texas-shaped waffle irons in their breakfast area. A few weeks ago when I was traveling for work, there was a family in the breakfast area when I was eating. Their teenaged son made himself a waffle, then sat down at the table & said, "I'm gonna pour syrup deep in the squares of Texas." I almost spit coffee on my complimentary USA Today.

that is hilarious. HILARIOUS.

Gotta go with the Kindle; I'd vote for the waffle iron, but the waffles are actually from Connecticut and just pretend to look like Texas.

(And anytime you need me to host a poll for you? Just axe:)

Thanks for the hosting offer. Some day I will just pay for my account again.

The Kindle is SUPER-awesome. A friend at work just pointed me to a ton of sites where I can get free Kindle books.

Free. Books. FREE BOOKS!

Eh... I'm betting you'll use the Kindle more often than the waffle iron. The same could be said for the knives too. I'll go with Kindle, but I could see knives taking it.
