Sleep schedule = fux0red
Apr. 25th, 2003 12:07 amI blame the neighbors, in large part. They wake me up just about every other night with their drunken noisy obnoxiousness. This leaves me sleep-deprived & prone to afternoon napping. Which leaves me prone to staying up late (like now). Which makes me sleep-deprived ... etc.
I didn't go to work today; I was feeling pretty ill yesterday afternoon & this morning. I slept until about 2:00 PM & now I'm feeling fine. Today was not a very productive day, but I did get my laundry done, groceries purchased, & apartment cleaned up (more or less). These are all Good Things because I have guests flitting in & out all weekend - Stacy will be here Friday & Saturday nights (leer),
chaosvizier &
fizrep will be here tomorrow, & Brian's coming in Saturday. Kirsten might pop in at some point as well, as might Emily. Nothing like planning, I say!
No deep thoughts tonight. Practically no thoughts at all. I've really let myself slip into a mindless rut these last few months. It's so easy to let one day after another slip by when there's no pressure coming from anywhere. I am responsible to no one, & I don't ever do a very good job of pressuring myself (too much experience ignoring my Inner Nag).
Maybe I could use LJ as a deadline-setting device. By announcing a deadline to an (indifferent) audience, I might feel inclined to honor said deadline. Hey, it works with my New Year's Resolutions: I generally only keep the ones I tell other people about.
OK, let's put this theory to the test. Here are some deadlines:
Monday 28 April: fill out & mail Master Promissory Note.
Friday 2 May: Finish 2nd draft of Andrew Mutch scholarship essay. Post to LJ for comments.
