#Whole30 #WholeLent Day 1b.
Mar. 14th, 2017 09:11 amSleep: OK but short. I had a hard time getting to sleep, then HPG came home late from a concert & woke me up. The kinesiology tape the doctor put on my shoulder is awesome - it's holding my shoulder back & it really reduces the pain. Can I just wear tape for the rest of my life?
Pre-breakfast: Constant Comment tea with collagen powder.
Went to OA this morning & confessed my failure last night. Everyone's been there. You just have to pick up & try again. One day at a time.
Breakfast: 4S casserole, black coffee, 3 clementines.
Lunch: garden salad (deli chicken, lettuce, peppers, carrots, cherry tomatoes, Tessamae's ranch), shepherd's pie (for Pi Day), & multi-green kombucha.
Exercise: very short walk with HPG & the doogs. But my shoulder has flared up badly & I can't really handle a leash very well.
Dinner: two new recipes - Cherry Chicken & Asian Cauliflower Fried Rice. They were both a bit meh. The cherry chicken called for the drumsticks to be baked on a wire rack over a baking tray, but I didn't have a rack so I just baked them on the tray. They came out moist & icky. I think they would've crisped up a lot more on a wire rack. If I try this recipe or something similar again, I'll either get a wire rack or do 'em on the grill. The Asian rice was OK, but it was a lot of work to get to "OK".
Snack: herbal tea with collagen powder.
