Brain: Stomach, the rest of the body thinks it's time we have a talk.
Stomach: Nuuuh! Dontwanna! I'll throw up again I totally will!
Brain: That threat is totally getting old. Now listen: we are GOING to spinning class today. It's been weeks since we got in a decent exercise session, & everybody EXCEPT you knows it's needed.
Arms: Too right!
Legs: For real!
Abs: Hear hear!
Ears: Huh?
Brain: Never mind. Let's get this show on the road. Hands, have you got the sports drink bottle?
Hands: Check!
Brain: Eyes, where are the house keys?
Eyes: Hands has them.
Stomach: Ooooh, you're all gonna be SO SORRY I will make us feel SO SICK!! I TOTALLY WILL!!
Brain: You do what you have to do. But we're still going to the gym. Feet, let's move.
I survived spinning class, but hoo boy - I have lost a ton of endurance & muscle tone. Funny how that happens when I stop working out, huh? I am going to go swimming on Monday morning so I can get a damage assessment for the upper body.
I have an appointment with the new endocrinologist on October 15th. Hopefully we will come up with some new treatment regimen that will get me off metformin & back on track for an active lifestyle.

hotpantsgalore, katieledge, & I went to Washington Square Park to see Barack Obama speak. Due to poor logistics & differing crowd tolerances, only hotpantsgalore actually saw him speak, but katieledge & I did have some tasty Chinese food.

I am going to start looking for a new job. My annual review at URS is coming up in a few weeks, & it would be pretty sweet to have an alternative offer in hand when salary negotiating time comes.
