There is a little grocery store in the (somewhat) nearby town of Dolores. Along with the normal, limited supplies of staples you can find at most mountain town grocery stores, they sell a selection of unusual squashes that must be sourced from some eccentric local squash enthusiast. Today I stopped there on the way to a site visit for work & bought a Tetsukabuto squash. It looks like a particularly large & warty version of an acorn squash, without the ridges or the orange coloring.
