The Lil' Lucy Woman just called - she & Spider-Dad are on their way home from Tennessee, where they just adopted a one-year-old Giant Schnauzer male named ... Chewbacca.

They've now changed his name to Gustav, to be known as Gus. I knew Chewbacca wouldn't last - my mom has always given her Giant Schnauzers names that start with a hard "g". The compulsion to do this is so strong, if I ever have a GS, her name is going to be Gretchen.

The doggie is just lucky he didn't end up being named Goo-bacca.
