General update.

I haven't been updating much because work is EATING MY LIFE at the moment. Cheeky EPA contract, you go squish now! Seriously, if anyone knows any environmental consultant-types who would like a job in downtown San Francisco, send their resumes to me asapkplzthx.

All right, summary format:

• Job: Hectic. Our office is trying to cover our new obligations to our gigantic new EPA contract & our previous obligations to other clients with a staff that has not yet been expanded. Personally, I am taking on some very interesting new responsibilities in the area of bioterrorism (prevention, not perpetration. Shaddup.)
  
• Relationship: Really, really good. I lapsed into one of my Bad Moods over the weekend, & la chica did exactly what was required - she left me alone until it passed. She has mastered the first lesson of Ang Management. I love her to bits.
  
• Health: Improving. I'm experiencing fewer side effects from the metformin - still a few racing heart episodes, but far less nausea, far fewer dizzy spells, & no headaches in the last two weeks. I've gotten back into working out, mixing lifting sessions with swimming.
  
• Family: I screwed up last weekend & forgot Bobo Bro's fifth anniversary. Sorry, Bro! The Lil' Lucy Woman & Spider-Dad are doing well, getting ready to celebrate their fortieth anniversary in mid-June. Forty. Years. Not bad for a couple that eloped at a Reno wedding chapel after Spider-Dad's graduation. They sold their textbooks back to the student bookstore & used the money to buy wedding rings. Awwww!
