Good Lord.
May. 10th, 2013 02:16 pmDriving home from
hotpantsgalore's graduation with her parents in my Saab, it was raining REALLY hard. I drove the Saab into a flooded intersection. The car stalled, died, & started to float. About 4 to 5 inches of water came into the car. HPG's parents were sitting on the seats, pulling their legs up & trying to keep the nice clothes they wore to the graduation from getting soaked. A couple of good neighbors/good ole boys with a big jacked-up pickup truck offered to tow us to dry ground. They started pulling us & I had no control over our direction because the car was floating. My Saab sideswiped another flooded car as they were towing me. The good ole boys towed me to high ground & skedaddled. The owner of the other car came over & started screaming at me. We exchanged insurance information. A tow truck arrived & towed the Saab to a nearby auto repair shop. I am waiting to hear if the car is totalled or not.
Update: The car is totalled.
