Good news, good things.

I bought a car yesterday! It's a brand-new 2013 Ford Focus hatchback. Exterior is silver, interior is black & grey. Trying to decide on a name.

Photos will have to wait until next week, because I'm at Hobby Airport waiting to board a Southwest flight down to the Rio Grande Valley for a short week of field work in the scorching heat of southern Texas. Add to the list of Things I Like About Houston: Hobby Airport. It took me 15 minutes to check my bag & make it all the way through security. And when I got through, I had a delicious dinner (grilled fish tacos) while waiting to board. Free WiFi, a plug to recharge my phone, & a short walk to my gate. My flight is going to depart on time. All very good things.

And finally, I weighed in today for the first time in a while. 189.6 pounds, down 12 pounds since I started this weight loss campaign in February. Not quick progress, but progress. Baaaaby steps.
