I had a massive cavity in one of my back teeth that my dentist told me was specifically caused by not flossing (it was between two teeth and caused because gunk was getting stuck there and then rotting, ew!) so that got me doing it pretty fast. I now floss almost every day, and carry some with me to use when I feel stuff stuck.
