Yesterday was my ten-year anniversary. Crazy to think that one-quarter of my life is (imperfectly) recorded on this website. My entire relationship with Stacy, grad school, San Francisco, Hurricane Katrina, New York City, Texas, nearly eight years with [livejournal.com profile] hotpantsgalore... it's all here. Sometimes with photos.

The [livejournal.com profile] ljdq. Losing [livejournal.com profile] seolta. Doing the triathlon. Endless bitching about work. Living with [livejournal.com profile] funkyplaid & [livejournal.com profile] evilfb at Chateau Greyskull. Sharing a flat block with [livejournal.com profile] katieledge in Astoria. Plans, & plan disruptions. Then, I didn't have a mobile phone. Now, I'm posting from one. Then, I didn't have a job. Today, I'm traveling for one.

We still have troops in Iraq.

When I started this blog, I don't think Icould've guessed all the placed I would take it to on my travels. I think I would've predicted that I'd be settled down by now. Bought a house. I might have predicted the dog, but never would've guessed a Catahoula.

I hope I keep blogging here for another few decades. It's fascinating to look back at my wayward path.

I am a decidedly better person from having known you, met you, done Joe's with you. May the decadodometer spin its little brains out:)

And I am better off for having gotten to know you my friend!

Awww, that's sweet. No one's ever a better person for having known me. ;-)

Funny thing, I guess my ten-year is coming up soon. I don't really have anything fascinating to report, since I'm just never very serious, and this journal reflects that quite clearly. I was sure I'd have died from a cheese overdose by now. Clearly I'm not trying hard enough.

At least a few NaNos in there, not to mention the Quiz, carried by you nearly alone. Great UN work stories. Geekocentric movie reviews. Travels around the world. Karate stuff. It's been a good read.

I'm effing glad that you started your journal!

No idea where I'd be if you hadn't.

Ha, you may be the one person who's gotten more out of my LJ than I have!

Me and Zuckerberg. Though I think he just talked about starting FB on LJ, didn't actually get any boost from it. Or did he?

Zuckerberg might have talked about FB somewhere on LJ, but it didn't involve my LJ.

Ah yes, the Dispatches from DesWorld. I miss Des too. He has his own tag on my LJ, so if you're really nostalgic for DesWorld, you can find all those posts in one place (http://angledge.livejournal.com/tag/des).
