10 years!

Yesterday was my ten-year anniversary. Crazy to think that one-quarter of my life is (imperfectly) recorded on this website. My entire relationship with Stacy, grad school, San Francisco, Hurricane Katrina, New York City, Texas, nearly eight years with hotpantsgalore... it's all here. Sometimes with photos.

The ljdq. Losing seolta. Doing the triathlon. Endless bitching about work. Living with funkyplaid & evilfb at Chateau Greyskull. Sharing a flat block with katieledge in Astoria. Plans, & plan disruptions. Then, I didn't have a mobile phone. Now, I'm posting from one. Then, I didn't have a job. Today, I'm traveling for one.

We still have troops in Iraq.

When I started this blog, I don't think Icould've guessed all the placed I would take it to on my travels. I think I would've predicted that I'd be settled down by now. Bought a house. I might have predicted the dog, but never would've guessed a Catahoula.

I hope I keep blogging here for another few decades. It's fascinating to look back at my wayward path.

Funny thing, I guess my ten-year is coming up soon. I don't really have anything fascinating to report, since I'm just never very serious, and this journal reflects that quite clearly. I was sure I'd have died from a cheese overdose by now. Clearly I'm not trying hard enough.
