I was ripshit pissed to discover that when I was in Toronto this past weekend, Neil was doing a signing at a bookstore a couple of blocks away. Partially pissed because I hadn't brought anything with me that would be appropriate for a signature, and partially because I found out about it an hour after it ended. Grr.
By the way, you know that Neverwhere is now available on DVD, yes?
As for favorite work, definitely the aforementioned Neverwhere. Yes, Sandman was faboo and all that, but it was more of a mythology than a story. American Gods seemed like a reworking of Sandman (especially with his prediliction for reinterpreting Norse mythology). Still haven't read Coraline yet.
