Photo catch-up

angledgeI have a collection of photos saved in a folder called "July this'n'that". They are bits & pieces from all kinds of little outings that went on last month, all of which were fun, but few of which motivated me to make an entry.
the first event I neglected to post photos for was a wonderful, spur-of-the-moment day trip to Crieff,seolta's childhood home (12th July). She took spiffington & myself along with her when she went to visit her grandpa, & we did a little sightseeing in the countryside 'round the village.
The most beautiful part of the trip was the drive to & from a reservoir located in the hills surrounding Crieff:
Not much to say, except that the silence & the scenery were very restoring, & they came at a moment when I really needed it.
Next catch-up stop: the Sunday afternoon car boot sale experience (18th July). Again, my co-conspirators werespiffington & seolta; but instead of pursuing beautiful scenery, this time our target was filthy lucre. And some cleared-out closet space for seolta. It was certainly an entertaining day of people-watching, & my companions were no less entertaining than any of the passersby ....
The next weekend was a bit quieter: no travel, & few photos. However, I did spend part of Sunday afternoon (25th July) watchingfunkyplaid & Mike pummel each other in the Meadows - boxing, with gloves & everything! I sat with Mike's girlfriend Karsten to watch the fun, & we both were quite confused as to what would motivate two guys - who are friends! - to repeatedly hit each other really, really hard.
So ... I took a couple photos of the sparring, but have been asked not to post them. Fine. Moving along ....
.... to last Wednesday's return to the Scotch Malt Whisky Society.funkyplaid, seolta, Kieran, & I went to the lovely rooms in Leith to enjoy some fine drams, delicious chocolate, & remarkably tasty smokes. And oh yes - I got to surprise them all with my new hairstyle!
And that brings my LJ back up to speed. Of course there are more photos still needing to be posted, but I'll get to them when I can!
