OK, so I missed a few days.

Friday night:
Went to Stacy's house. Traffic was absolutely horrific; it took me nearly two hours to get there from 38th & Market. By the time I got home, I was in a arm-waving, mouth-frothing rage. But I calmed down, & we went out to Don Pablo's for dinner. Note to self: stop ordering chile rellenos, you never like them.

Saturday:
Highlight of Saturday morning: Stacy's dryer died while I was washing a load of towels. It was still generating heat, but the drum wasn't tumbling. So essentially, my clothes were being baked instead of dried.

Highlight of Saturday afternoon: We saw "X-Men 2", my second time, Stacy's first.

And Saturday night: met Stacy's friends, Heather & Mike, & played a new card game at their house with Melissa & Susan. The card game is called Phase 10 & it was pretty cool. Stacy has it, so we'll bring it with us to Hive Memorial Day weekend.

Sunday:
Sunday we got up early, because Stacy's first softball game was at 8:30 AM & I had virtuous intentions of making it to church. But I lost at Schuylkill roulette, hitting a massive traffic jam just south of 30th Street Station. Feeling clever, I diverted onto Chestnut Street … only to run into city-wide street closings for the Mother's Day breast cancer walk-a-thon. Stupid charity event, you go squish now. I didn't make it home until about 8:45 AM (after a stop at Dunkin' Donuts), so I opted for swimming over church (I could've gone to the late service), napped until 9:45 AM, then headed over to Arcadia. FINS practice on Sunday was another stroke clinic, this time with Charlie Kennedy. He really focused on maintaining a straight body position in freestyle, & also had some tips on (ugh!) backstroke. He took some underwater film of everyone, which will be reviewed at a later date.

Sunday night totally sucked. I ate something bad at dinner & got really sick. Spent Sunday night on the floor of the bathroom. Curse you, bacterial food spoilage!

Monday:
Monday was spent in recovery. I slept until about noon, then went to the laundromat to finally address the clothes that never got washed on Saturday. When Stacy got home from work, we went to the Sears outlet & I bought her a new dryer.

And about that: yes, I bought her a dryer, which cost about $300.00. But I look at it this way: that is a damn cheap price to pay for 1) staying at her place almost full-time; 2) I will be staying full-time at her place later this summer; 3) she'll be storing a bunch of my stuff while I'm in Scotland. But more importantly, I love her & I was thrilled to be able to do something for her.

Moving the dryer into the basement was quite a task. In the end, we had to take the back door off its hinges, the basement door off its hinges, & the basement stairs banister off the wall. Then we still didn’t get the dryer hooked up, because it's a gas dryer & we didn't have a pipe wrench to deal with the gas hookup. Penalty: -20 lesbian points for inadequate toolboxes.

Heh

She said 'inadequate toolboxes'

Does sound like an eventful weekend though.

Man, I wish someone loved me enough to buy me $300 worth of hardware. Heh.

Should have come partied with us. The only traffic jam we encountered was in the heavy flow of alcohol into our livers. Drinkinating!
