I think it has more to do with the homicide total exceeding last year's...before December (usually the deadliest) even started. Not that people who go around shooting other people really pay much attention to gun control legislation.

Seriously, you'd think they would look at how it worked for DC. They just need to pass a low so everybody is required to carry a gun. I'd like to see how that one turns out.

Some people just don't get it. Living in a country that's prolific with firearms, you'd think they'd figure it out at some point.
