U.S. Senators Kerry, Kennedy, and Reid are now actively trying to line up the number of supporters necessary for a filibuster to stop the nomination of Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court. Still on the fence are Senators Landrieu, Salazar, Johnson, Clinton, and Byrd.

Fire up the faxes, even if you don't live in their states. They need to know that this is a national issue and that they will be held accountable for a national disaster if they do not do everything in their power to stop this confirmation.

SaveTheCourt.org (which is a site set up by People For the American Way) has a form that allows you to fax all their targeted Senators for free.
