Some time before March 24th.

I want to volunteer for voter registration work.

[personal profile] hotpantsgalore & I would need somewhere to stay.

Incidently, we are Obama supporters, but I'll help anyone who's registering Democratic voters.

Anyone, any thoughts on where I should look to find groups to sign up with?

I declare Ang and HPG to be my personal heroes. Heroines. Whichever.

*nods authoritatively*

Hahaha, why are we heroes?

(I almost typed "heteros", which would have been FAR funnier.)

Hee! That would have been HI-larious. Wow. My mind is reeling at the thought. Okay, Hans? Job for ya. Write up a little scenario featuring these two heteros saving the city. (Yes, of *course* I pick Hans for this job. Who else?) You can have them crushing some pun-based villain, if that'd be more palatable to Ang. Possibly get superpowers from gin, sorta like an alky Popeye...

I believe in what you're doing, 's'all.

And on a somewhat more relevant note, I'm pretty sure you're not allowed to do 'Democratic party registration' per se. You can join drives which are targeted at regions which have traditonally been solid Democrat, but you have to accept the registration for whichever party the prospective voter selects. Not that I think either of you would have a problem with that.
(There was some shenanigans last election cycle where a registration group threw out all the paperwork for people who opted for Democratic party, don't remember the state. People went to the polls and then found out they weren't eligable to vote, was pretty shady.)

You're right, a voting registration drive (at least, any one *I'd* take part in) registers everyone regardless of party.

How long would you stay? You're welcome to crash here, but it's a small one bedroom, so I don't know if it'd be comfortable for you all. Certainly welcome, though!

I love that you're coming down. I was just listening to NPR and they were talking about how PA's going to definitely make the decision. Very exciting.

Let us know when you are in town. I'll be at the start of a week-long spring break from work. We'd love to see you two!
