Yes, I am. Now I actually have to try to be funny. I was just planning to drink a whole mess of Jack Daniels and yell drunken insults at all the quizzlings. :p
Wow. Should I rest up and save my funny for next week? Or should I enter into a strict training regimen? Maybe I need to get a partner to practice with. I don't know!!!
I used to be a trivia host on AOL. Every so often, the geniuses in management would "spotlight" our area on the welcome screen, which inevitably led to an endless parade of trolls, n00bs in serious need of STFUing, and at least one of every internet stereotype you could imagine haunting our games for weeks after that.
It was especially nice that they never bothered to tell us they were doing it until it had already happened.
I strongly recommend a paper bag for breathing into- or worse.
To be fair, AOL is a wretched hive of scum and villainy. ;-) LJ users are much more civilized and reserved. I cannot imagine such a thing happening with users of this blogging service. No siree.
omg, CV, that's the funniest thing you have EVER said.
EVAR.
Thank God LJDQ is screened and I don't have to see dimwhits making new posts all the time. Another community I'm in has been recently spotlighted from a non-lj source, and the influx has been driving me nutty.
Oh man. If you thought there were a lot of quiz answers to read before...
Another community I'm in was picked for the spotlight a month or two ago. It brought in new blood, which was good. But for that week and the first couple after the group went from around 1 post per day to 15. And that was for a community for people who like to take photographs of cemeteries. I'm guessing there are a lot more people out there who enjoy trivia and laughing...
