President-elect Obama has now held five press conferences since winning the election. Fox News reporters have not been called on to ask a single question.

I say "yes" in hopes that he can deliver a well-crafted and eminently reasonable, "Y'all can go fuck yourselves" response, right in front of the entire press corps in a more direct manner than he's already begun doing with his cabinet appointments (for the rationale of the "Fuck You Appointments", I refer you to The Rude Pundit; either via rss here on LJ, or at rudepundit.blogspot.com).

I think I'm torn on the issue, but do not want him percieved as avoiding any questions - he did say that he would listen to everybody. But on the other hand, it's Fox.

Exactly. They hit him (& his wife) with so many low blows during the campaign, I can understand why he might want to return the insult to them now. But on the other hand, I don't want our President to be petty.

Part of me wants him to rise above Fox, part of me want him to go "Sod off! Pfffffffffffft!!"

This is exactly my dilemma. Another issue (at least in my mind) is that Fox News is not a legitimate news organization.

Yeah, isn't the news supposed to be unbiased? @@

Or at least offer several biases in rapid succession, not the same one over and over and over... *cough*

Oh, come on. Surely you don't think that 'terrorist fist-bump' brouhaha meant they're anything less than impartial, do you?

That was just the liberal media making a big deal out of nothing.

My personal preference would be No, simply because I see no reason why they shouldn't be treated as a news network.

He won't take their questions because he's afraid of being revealed as a mooslim terrist.
