What are the good things about moving? What are the bad things? What is it like to live in one place for an extended period of time?

Yeah, moving does give you a chance to pare down all the stuff. My last big move (SF to NYC) was a failure on that front though - I brought EVERYTHING, & so did hotpantsgalore. Our NYC apartment feels quite overstuffed (heh) as a result.
