This post was inspired by [livejournal.com profile] theferrett's post on this topic. He pointed out that "what you want" at any given moment is a reflection of "who you are", & thus, old Christmas lists are landmarks in your personal journey.

So what do I want for Christmas this year?

Well, based on [livejournal.com profile] chaosvizier's recent string of posts, I definitely want to pre-order a Whisky Advent Calendar for 2016. If [livejournal.com profile] chaosvizier also gets one next year, I propose we call each other each night during Advent & try the whiskies together, comparing flavor notes. Hell, I'd get the Gin Advent calendar too, just because.

I want a high-quality, no-stick, muffin pan. Mine are all old & getting hard to clean.

I want a gift certificate for laser hair removal for my legs. I am sick of shaving my legs.

I want a cord of aged firewood, delivered to my house & stacked next to my garage. Fire!

I want two new pairs of Lucky Brand jeans.

Having finally worn out almost all the loot I received over the years from [livejournal.com profile] katieledge, I want some new sweaters. I love sweaters & I am finally living in a climate where they are necessary & useful. I would especially like some cardigans or other designs that are good for layering.

I want a lawn mower. But I don't know what kind of lawn mower I want yet. I kind of want to go old-school & get a reel mower, because 1) no engine noise & 2) no exhaust fumes, but I've never actually used one so I don't know what I'd be getting into. I've also considered an electric lawn mower, for basically the same reasons. Our yard is fairly small, but there is a slope in the backyard's lawn that might be tricky. This is a question that can be deferred to Spring.

Hmmmm. Our backyard lawn area has a mulched border all the way around it, so that shouldn't be a problem. But the lawn in the front goes all the way up to a fence. You're saying I'd have to edge that with something else?

Probably--a weed whacker or hand edger might do though.
