#whole30 WholeLent, Day 7.
Feb. 24th, 2015 10:15 pmSleep: Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz........... slept so soundly..... kinda wanted to sleep moooooore...... I don't know if my improved sleep is due to: 1) eating clean; 2) sticking to my pre-bedtime routine; 3) using topical magnesium; or 4) not having the TV on as much. But I don't care. 8-9 hours of sleep a night feels AWESOME.
Breakfast: prosciutto muffin, slice of sweet potato quiche, half an avocado, black Scottish breakfast tea. PROGRAM NOTE: avocados are much easier to peel when they are at room temperature. I should leave one out on the counter at all times..
I baked an acorn squash for later meals.
Lunch: leftover lemon-garlic chicken & veggies, leftover coconut-almond green beans, salad, kombucha, & bone broth.

This afternoon,
hotpantsgalore came home from Wyoming. Yeah, she was supposed to be there for three months, but was home after two days. It's a long story, but basically the hospital tried to pull a bait-&-switch on her - they interviewed her for an acute-care hospital position but when she arrived, she was told she would be doing outpatient pediatrics & SNF work. She balked (because she doesn't have appropriate experience to work with kids) & they fired her. Whaaaaaaat?
Snack: BIG handful of roasted, salted almonds & a small half-handful of Kale Krunch.
Upon HPG's arrival at home, she was despondent & feeling completely jerked around. So Bobo Bro & I took her out for drinks, dinner, & a long bitch session.
Dinner (Texas Roadhouse): 6 oz. filet mignon, a baked sweet potato with cinnamon, & green beans, with certainly non-compliant bacon in them. I managed to ignore: 1) HPG's beverage; 2) hot buttered rolls; & 3) the dessert menu.
We came home & I unwisely ignored my pre-bedtime rituals in favor of playing Skyrim. Fail.
Snack: coconut Larabar, apple pie Larabar.
